Ben Marks, MD and Founder

Ben set up Opinionpanel in January 2004. He has over sixteen years' experience in sales and, for the last nine years in market research, having worked at Financial Times Information, Hobsons (Research Manager) and ClientKnowledge (Research Director) before starting Opinionpanel. Ben is a graduate of Manchester University and City University (MBA), and is a full member of the Market Research Society (MRS).

Becky Lewis, Research Director

Becky joined Opinionpanel in October 2006. She has eight years' research experience and is a full member of the MRS. She has over four years agency experience with BMRB and three years client-side experience at London Underground. Becky has worked across a number of sectors, particularly social research. She graduated from Exeter University with a BA (Hons) in Society, Economy and Social Policy and an MA in Applied Population Research.

Martin Collins, Chairman Non Executive

Martin is a Fellow and former Chair of the Market Research Society. He is a Fellow of the Royal Statistical Society and former Professor of Marketing Research at City University (now Cass Business School).  He has unrivalled experience in commercial and academic market research and is a pre-eminent authority on survey sampling. He has published widely and speaks frequently in the UK and abroad.

David Roberts, Non Executive Director

David is a Managing Partner at The Knowledge Partnership. He has 18 years’ senior consulting experience, largely in HE. He is former Chief Executive of Heist and he led the development of MaXimizE – the widely adopted evaluation and benchmarking system for student marketing, funded by HEFCE. He regularly advises on strategic marketing for higher education institutions and government education bodies, working with senior managers and vice-chancellors as well as marketers.

Eleanor Simmons,
Associate Director, Higher Education

Eleanor joined Opinionpanel in January 2008. She has 6 years research experience having previously worked as a social researcher for the Home Office, Office for National Statistics, the Learning and Skills Network and Hansard Society. She graduated from the London School of Economics with an MSc in Social Research Methods and from Sussex University with a BA (Hons) in Contemporary History.

Mia Lorenz, Project Manager

Mia has 15 years of project management experience. A market researcher since 2004, Mia was winner of the 2006 MRS Accredited Masters Prize, awarded to the best research based dissertation by a student on an MRS Accredited Masters Programme. She has been with Opinionpanel since July 2006.

Before starting work at Opinionpanel in May 2007, Greg worked as a part time research assistant for four years at WHF Southern Ltd (now part of TNS). He graduated with a degree in Psychology from The University of Central Lancashire and is an Associate Member of The Market Research Society.

Sam joined Opinionpanel in August 2005 after a year's sabbatical post at Kings College London where she was Vice President Media and Publications of the Student Union. Sam graduated from Kings College London with a degree in Business Management. She is an associate of the Market Research Society.

He has over 13 years experience in market research; as a Senior Analyst at Quaestor Research in Leeds, at Kudos Research in London and lately at Opinionpanel. He is an experienced trainer and market researcher.

Joyce Obanishola, Senior Data Processing Executive Joyce joined Opinionpanel in November 2007 with over 17 years Data Processing (DP) experience including expertise in data tabulation, conversion and manipulation (Quantum and Merlin), script-writing, training and consulting. She has worked in DP at Perspective, Ipsos (now Ipsos MORI), GfK, ORB and Infratest Burke (then known as Burke Marketing Research). Joyce has a PG Diploma in Intelligence Systems from Brunel University and a BA (Hons) in Psychology from Middlesex University.

Chris Yorkston, IT and Data Executive

Chris joined Opinionpanel in January 2008. He has two years work experience; as a product developer at WCN e-recruitment software and as a network engineer at Lahti University in Finland. Whilst at university Chris was selected to participate in the prestigious Shell Technology Enterprise Programme (STEP) which involved a two month funded work placement. Chris has a Computer Science degree from the University of Sheffield.
