Students want more action on climate

Date Posted: 27/11/08

Results from Opinionpanel's Student Omnibus Survey reveals that students want their universities to take more action to tackle climate change.

Three quarters of students (74%) would like their university to have the Carbon Trust Standard to prove it has taken action.

Almost half (47%) would like their institution to do more to help them reduce their own carbon footprint, according to the survey, which was commissioned by the Carbon Trust.

The Carbon Trust Standard is an independent body that certifies organisations that have genuinely taken action on climate change.
