Universities

OpinionPanel is the owner and manager of the UK's largest research panel of higher education consumers (applicants, students, graduates). We have helped over 80 universities as well as HE policy bodies, HE finance organisations and Mission Groups. Our ad hoc projects have covered topics as diverse as course development, bursary and scholarship provision, tuition fees, the decision-making process of sixth formers (longitudinal study), academic contact time, student satisfaction, accommodation needs and corporate branding and benchmarking.

How much more will students pay?

OpinionPanel Research - How much more will students pay imageWith the lifting of the cap on tuition fees increasingly likely, it is critical that those involved in Higher Education understand the potential impact of uncapped fees. How much might students be willing to pay and would it vary by type of student, institution and degree? These questions are addressed in our new report with higher-education economist, Professor Anna Vignoles (Institute of Education). Based on a quantitative survey of 37,000 new first year undergraduates over three years, the report cuts through the current political debate and provides essential evidence for all university planners.
