Attitudes to ScienceA new report by OpinionPanel for the Department for Business Innovation and Skills (BIS) shows that Science is the most popular subject at school among 14 – 16 year olds, with 16% favouring it. It makes a fascinating read and was lighting up discussions on Twitter last week.

We’ve been busy bees! We delivered conference papers in January and March, we've been commissioned to run a whole slew of projects to help universities and model potential fee sensitivity, and we've produced a new edition of the wonderful Student Fact File.

Higher Expectations 2010/11 - discount extended!

Higher ExpectationsUnderstanding student choices has never been more relevant or important. This year we completed 7% more interviews than last year (n=12,214) and made significant improvements to the analysis and delivery of the findings. Here are a few examples:

Benchmarking report – is now delivered online and also includes a tool which measures how significantly better (or worse) you’re performing compared to any HEIs you want to benchmark against.

Customised institution report – use the online filtering tool to find out exactly why your university gets declined and what you could have done to change peoples’ minds.

Buy the above two reports and get the overview report (worth £1200) completely free! On top of this, we’re extending the 5% discount on all pricing for an additional month – to the end of April 2011.

Check out sample sizes, and details of the study here. Download the full brochure here, for further details email or call Kyla on 020 7288 8789.

Who did you love at university?

Will and KateEach month we commission a panellist to write about something dear to them. Occasionally we ask an expert to contribute. Last month we hosted a discussion on internships and before that we hosted a lively debate where the BBC’s Wesley Stephenson argued that the new tuition fees were in many ways more progressive and equitable. This month we’ve a charming piece about finding love at university... in honour of Will and Kate, of course.
