Students own 6k worth of kit

The average student takes possessions worth more than £6,000 with them to university, an OpinionPanel survey shows. Students have belongings worth an average of £6,044 with them while they are studying, with expensive items ranging from laptops and mobile phones to musical instruments and clothes, according to insurer Endsleigh.
