I once made my own shoes out of corrogated cardboard sellotaped together as a sole and then cardboard from cereal boxes to keep the foot in place. Mainly wore them around halls (they were surprisingly comfy) but was a bit drunk one night and went to tescos in them, on the way back it rained and they disintegrated.
