LifeConnect – What is it?
LifeConnect is a computer and mobile app and an exclusive project within The OpinionPanel Community, available only by invitation. By installing the LifeConnect app you can earn extra rewards. To participate, all you need to do is install a small application on your computer and/or mobile device that will anonymously collect information regarding your online activities.
LifeConnect – What will the app do?
This application will sit in the background of your computer and/or mobile device and will be on all the time but it will not interfere with your usage at all and will not influence or affect your browser or computer/mobile performance. The app uses minimal memory capacity and other resources on your device. The application will have very little effect on the battery on your phone. You should do whatever you normally do with your phone.
The application will record on how you use your device and is designed to avoid collecting personally identifiable or sensitive information – no system is foolproof, but we are committed to protecting your privacy (learn more here).
LifeConnect – How to register?
mC+ is an invitation-only opportunity. If you have received an invitation to join, you will need to complete the registration questionnaire and download/install a small application called mC+ on your computer/mobile device. When you have first downloaded the application, please open it to fully register.
LifeConnect – Which operating systems and browsers is the application compatible with?
The application is compatible across Windows 7,8 and 10 and Mac OSX, Android and iOS.

LifeConnect – I haven’t received my points. What can I do?
If you haven’t received any rewards, please make sure that you have installed the LifeConnect application correctly on the computer/mobile you use most often and that the application is active. If you fully completed the survey but have not received your points yet, it is possible that you were not rerouted back to The OpinionPanel Community correctly after completing the survey. At the end of the week, the client who runs this survey sends us a report listing any panellists who were not rerouted back to us and we award you the points manually. This means that it can take a few working days upon completion of the survey for you to receive your points. If you still haven’t received your points after 1 week, please contact our support team.
LifeConnect – What data are you recording?
We are recording data related to your internet, device usage details, system information and location data. The internet data collected is known as clickstream data. Clickstream data includes information such as your IP address, the URLs of websites you have viewed, the date and time you viewed the web pages, the duration of each visit and the search terms you entered on any webpage that enables online search.
LifeConnect – How do you use the data you are collecting?
The data that we collect is used to understand how consumers interact with the Internet and mobile devices and how our clients can develop and improve their products, services or marketing initiatives. The collected data will be used for research purposes only and we will never try to sell you any products or ask you for money!
LifeConnect – Is personal data also recorded?
The LifeConnect app and our internal systems are outfitted with technical privacy rules designed to avoid the collection of certain types of personally identifiable or sensitive information that can be identified by the software and systems, such as credit card numbers, social security numbers, email addresses and information from most web-based email accounts. These rules rely on known field types, values, and algorithms, but they are not foolproof, and sometimes the software may inadvertently collect unwanted information. However, be assured that we will not knowingly use any such inadvertently collected information in our services.
LifeConnect – Can this data be linked with me?
Please be assured that all data will be shared in anonymous form without being linked to you as a person.
LifeConnect – Will it use up my data allowance?
The application will send a tiny amount of data each day over the internet – this is less than 3kb at a time so you won’t notice an impact on your data allowance. Although this is only a small amount but we recommend you have a data plan on your phone, otherwise your network provider will charge you.
LifeConnect – Can I cancel my participation?
Keeping the LifeConnect app installed is voluntary and you may stop participating at any time. Simply uninstall the application and VPN (on mobile).

The LifeConnect application cannot be deactivated. If you want to deactivate the application, it must be uninstalled.

If you have downloaded the mC+/LifeConnect App via the Google Play, the following shall apply:
The Application uses Accessibility services and is using the respective permissions with active consent by the end-user. The Accessibility permissions are used for analysing the application and web usage on this device as part of an opt-in market research panel.
