• How does it work?

  Companies and organisations want to know what consumers think about their brand/service. They can do this by going to Market Research agencies like YouthSight (our sister company) who have a huge research panel of 16-30 year olds – The OpinionPanel Community (us), ready to share their thoughts and opinions via online surveys or focus groups.

  Once you complete the registration survey, you�ll be sent surveys via email. If you�re a student, you earn �10 amazon gift certificate credits just for signing up and �1 – �2 per survey. If you join any other panel, we�ll award you with �1 – �2 in bonus bond vouchers per survey- mailed straight to your door! • Which panel do I belong to?

  We want to make sure our members are sent relevant surveys, so we have divided The OpinionPanel Community into four sub-panels. The Youth, Applicant, Student and Graduate panels. If you�re aged 16-30 or in Higher Education, one will be right for you.

  The Youth Panel – for anyone ages 16 – 30.

  The Applicant panel – for anyone who has submitted their UCAS application to study at university.

• What is a focus group?

  You may be invited to attend online or face-to-face focus groups. This is where you will be asked to participate in a discussion with a group of other people, about a product or idea. If you have to travel, this is usually paid for. On top of that, lunch and freebies are usually thrown in too!

• What do I get for completing a survey?

  Students and graduates collect points towards a �25 Amazon gift voucher, which can be redeemed on Amazon and used to buy absolutely anything! Those on other panels earn BonusBond vouchers, which are paper vouchers that get sent straight to your door and can be used in a wide variety of shops.

  How much you get completely depends on the survey… Generally speaking you’ll be awarded 1 – 2 points per survey. But to keep things fair, you’ll get more points for longer surveys.

• Is this a scam?

  No, we�re a real company based in Islington (28-30 Worship Street, London, EC2A 2AH) and we recently celebrated our 10th birthday! We�ve worked for loads of huge brands and universities and spend hundreds of thousands of pounds to reward our hard working panellists. • How does The OpinionPanel Community make its money?

  Aside from our obvious talent for basket-weaving, we are hired by companies to conduct research on their behalf on any topic that they are particularly interested in. In the past we�ve worked with some pretty big names and we also work with most universities.

• Do I have to pay anything?

  No, we will never ask for any payment details � signing up and completing surveys is completely free� we pay YOU for your opinions! Also, you are free to join and leave anytime you wish and free to complete only those surveys you are interested in filling. You�re totally in control of your membership.

• How do I join?

• Will you send me spam or sell my data?

  No and no! We have a no spam guarantee � we don�t carry any advertising on our site and will never try to sell you anything.

  Also, we will never pass any of your details to anyone, not even our clients. We are a MRS certified agency.

• How often will you send me surveys?

  This depends on many things � we don�t invite all panellists to complete every survey. Instead we use a sampling method where we select the required number of panellists based on their demographic profile (e.g. gender, year of study, course subject etc.). This makes our surveys representative of the population but also means it is difficult to predict just how often you will be contacted. We endeavour to contact everyone fairly and we�re running more and more surveys all the time!

• Where are the surveys?

  All surveys are sent out via email, so while you’re waiting to receive one, why not amuse yourself by reading an article or two?

• How do I earn points?

  You will get points for completing surveys. When you finish a survey the final page will let you know what your new points total is.
